Christmas Cookies!!

Today the boys and I went to BB's for our tradition of making cookies. It was so fun to see Graham help out as last year he was still too young to do much. It was a huge mess of course and was completed with a sugar crash induced tantrum from Graham but definitely lots of fun!

Jack's Christmas Party

Jack's class had a "Happy Birthday, Jesus" party today before school let out for Christmas break. When I walked in, Mrs. Ferguson was reading to the class and it was such a sweet scene. I loved watching all of their faces as they listened quietly to a story about Jesus' love and the true meaning of Christmas. After that, it was pure chaos! They did a craft, had a snack, gave us gifts they had made, etc. Fun, yes, but definitely chaotic! After the party, Jack really enjoyed walking around the school and showing me where all of his "specials" teachers were and giving them their gifts. He likes that he has to show me where to go. :) I was reminded once again how blessed we are to have Jack at CCS. I love his teachers so much and can't imagine a more perfect fit for him right now!

Christmas Festivities

The boys and I had a blast last weekend viewing the Christmas light display in Yukon, visiting Santa Clause at North Park, and making Christmas ornaments at home. I'm loving starting new traditions with the kids!

Family Photos

We recently took our first family photos as a family of five!! Thanks to much to my friend, Robyn, who captured some really great pics! robynwaggonerphotography.blogspot.com

Graham's Christmas Program

This morning was Graham's first Hickman music school program and it was adorable!! Graham was a candy maker and wore and apron and chef's hat. He did not want to put it on at first (he is always a little weird about costumes) but after seeing all of his friends dressed up he changed his mind and put it on. He and the other kids in Ms. Jo's extended day class kicked off the show with a little performance that showed what they've been learning this semester about instruments and composers. Then each group sand their song. Graham's song was so precious and he definitely stole the show. Loved seeing him up there! He has been singing those songs in the car for weeks!

Kindergarten Christmas Program

Last night we got to watch Jack sing in the CCS kindergarten program. It was so sweet! Their teacher, Miss Connie, is wonderful and always does a great job teaching the kids lots of songs and the hand motions that go with them. Jack has been practicing at home some, although he favors certain songs so we didn't know there would be so many! His favorites are: Our God is an Awesome God, Away in a Manger, and We Wish you a Merry Christmas. It was so nice to have Gigi, Hetty Sue, BB, and Grandad there to support Jack!

Funny Story: During the performance, Jack looked right at me so I gave him a thumbs up sign. He responded by giving me the thumbs down while still singing. Not sure what he meant by it but Randy said, "Looks like he can argue with you from 50 feet away!" Isn't that the truth?!

Reid is Two Months!!

(first two photos by Robyn Waggoner Photography)

Wow, these two months have flown by so quickly! In some ways, it still feels crazy that I have three children but in other ways it feels as if Reid has always been here. We love him so much and can't imagine life without him. Here are a few tidbits about his life and personality so far:

- He is so very sweet and easygoing. Reid is definitely my easiest baby. Although he fusses at times, it is usually very easy to identify and solve whatever ails him. He can fall asleep and stay asleep pretty much anywhere. In fact, he seems to sleep better during the day when we're out and about running errands or eating at a restaurant.
- He is a champions sleeper! The kid has been sleeping 8 hours at night since five weeks old. I thought it was a fluke at first, but he has continued this for over four weeks now, sometimes sleeping as long as 10 hours at once. He generally goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes to eat between 4:30 and 5:30, then goes back to sleep until I get him up to take Jack to school at 8:15.
- He loves to smile and is aaaaaalmost laughing! He makes a little noise when he smiles really big. It's super cute.
- He loves his brothers, especially when they play with him on his activity mat.
- He loves his activity mat. He stares at the star and is reaching for it now too. He even has a favorite song out of the three that it plays.
- He likes to go to the gym. This is the only place I have left him, other than with my Mom for a few minutes. He generally sleeps there but sometimes he sits in a swing and smiles. :)
- He's a big eater and is growing incredibly fast! He is well over 13 pounds at this point, wearing size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothing.
- I go back and forth between thinking he looks like Randy, then Jack, then Graham. Depending on the expression, he can look like a carbon copy of any of my other boys! Then at other times, he looks like he has his own, completely unique look.

We are so thrilled to have such a sweet little blessing to complete our family! We are trying to cherish these moments with our last little baby but are also so excited to watch him continue to grow and change!
