Pets Week!

This week was Pets Week at CCS. Jack was very excited to bring Jake to school and tell his friends all about him. He did a great job telling the class how old Jake is, what he likes to do, what kind of dog he is, etc. Then he showed them how Jake can shake hands and led him around for all the kids to pet. I loved watching his presentation! I think Jake got shown up by the chicken that followed him though...

As most of you know, in the fall of 2005, my family lost our beloved pet, our golden retriever, Max. Anyone who knew Maxer knew that he was the most loyal, friendly, happy dog in the world and was such a blessing to all of our lives for 12 years. We miss him so much!

Well, you know my mom couldn't live without another dog, so meet Jake, the new puppy. He is much crazier and more rambunxious than Max ever was. He has even "graduated" from about 3-4 different obedience schools so far but really isn't very obedient at all. I'm not quite sure if he can fill Max's shoes, but hey he is pretty darn cute!
